Amaechi Removes Pro-Wike Commissioner From Office

Amaechi-360x2251

Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State on Wednesday announced the removal from office of the State Commissioner for Urban Development, Mr Tammy Danagogo, who purportedly switched his allegiance to the pro-Nyesom Wike camp in the state.

Wike, the Supervising Minister of Education and Amaechi are currently locked in a battle of supremacy for the control of Rivers politics.

A statement by Amaechi’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. David Iyofor, indicated that the sacking was with immediate effect.

The statement directed Danagogo to handover immediately to the Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Urban Development.

“Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has sacked the Commissioner for Urban Development, Mr. Tammy Danagogo.

“The Governor directs (Mr.) Danagogo to handover immediately to the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Urban Development,” the statement read.
