SURPRISE: UNN Chairman of Governing Council Suspended by the FG

 

As the educational sector in Nigeria is about to revive, following declarations on ASUU strike coming to an end, the Federal Government suspended Dr. Emeka Enejere, the Chairman/ Pro-Chancellor of University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), Governing Council with immediate effect.

This is contained in a statement signed in by Mr Simeon Nwakaudu, the Special Assistant on Media to the Supervising Minister of Education, Chief Nyesom Wike, in Abuja on December 17, 2013, Tuesday.

The statement said that the suspension was announced by the Supervising Minister of Education, with the effect from the date of publishing.

It would be recalled, Dr. Enejere was appointed as the Chairman of UNN Governing Council in April 2013.
