Toure Praises Mikel Following “Unbelievable” Victory.

Newly-crowned Confederation of African Football (CAF) Player of the Year for 2013, Yaya Toure, has lauded Chelsea FC midfielder, John Mikel Obi, for his contribution throughout the year in review.

Despite losing out of the 2013 African Cup of Nations (Afcon) to eventual winners, Nigeria, and ending a trophyless 2013 season with English Premier League outfit, Manchester City, Toure made it an “unbelievable” third victory in a row at a Glo Caf Gala on Thursday in Lagos.

The 30-year-old said the Super Eagles playmaker “deserves the award” shortly after he was announced as the winner.
